Liliana Cruz Women's Floral Embroidered Mini Dress

Each Liliana Cruz dress is hand embroidered and hand sewn in small villages throughout Central and Southern Mexico. The floral pattern on each dress is unique and one of a kind, so variation in pattern will occur. Each dress takes hours and hours of work to create. This type of work provided much needed financial resources, but also allows the women to work on them in their spare time.

These dresses can be paired with heels for a fancy night out or worn with leggings and sandals for a casual outfit. They can also be worn as a swimsuit cover or as a great house dress. As with many white dresses, this dress in white is somewhat sheer and might require a slip or something worn underneath.

The cotton blend fabric makes this dress cool and comfortable, great for hot summer days and warm summer nights. The fabric gets softer with each wash and the embroidery holds up well to machine wash. For longer life, we recommend hang drying or using a gentle cycle.

Each dress is hand made in women-run co-ops operating in small villages throughout central and southern Mexico. The work is distributed throughout the community and allows the women to choose which pattern and style to work on. They then take the patterns to their home to complete and return with the embroidered panel, that is then sewn to the rest of the dress.

Regarding sizing, these dresses are meant to come above the knee, approximately at mid-thigh, depending on body type. For a SMALL, the bust measures 32-33" with a length from top to bottom hem of 32". For a MEDIUM, the bust is ~35-36" and the length is ~33". For a LARGE, the bust is 37-38" and the length is ~34". For an X-LARGE, the bust is ~38-39" and the length is ~35". For a XX-LARGE, the bust is 42" and the length is 36". For a XXX-Large, the bust is 46" and the length is 36".

This is a sleeveless version of the popular embroidered Mexican peasant dress. The bright, colorful flower embroidery is on a light cotton dress.
